In the context of EUR-HUMAN project, an interdisciplinary research team from Clinic of Social and Family Medicine, Faculty of Medicine University of Crete made a transition to Mitilini island, at First Reception Center of Moria from 27th March to March 3rd. Meeting with operators working and providing services to First Reception Centre in Moria and the conduction of some interviews sessions (5 in total) with refugees and immigrants were our main goals. During the visit, discussions were held with representatives of International Non-profit Organizations (NGOs) (such as MDM, IOM, etc.) that provide humanitarian assistance in the hotspot of Moria as well as representatives from government agencies (such as police, Frontex ect). In the first reception center in Moria health services are provided only by voluntary organizations on the contract with the Greek State.
There were held 5 interviews sessions in total.
1st session with Afgani men (5 persons)
2nd session Afgani women (4 persons)
3rd session Afgani mixed (2 men – 2 women)
4th session Syrian men (6 persons)
5th session Irani mixed (3 men – 2 women)
